Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy products with your art on them?
There are multiple ways to shop His Kingdom Creations art. Many of the options are linked on the SHOP page on this website.
- Our Etsy Shop is a curated selection of goods and gifts from European Linen tea towels, to zipper pouches, and vinyl stickers. I love to produce quality goods that I use in my own home and offer them for sale to others.
- Our Spoonflower shop is the place to shop for fabric, wallpaper, and custom printed home decor such as curtains, pillows, tablecloths, placemats, and sheets.
- In stores! I offer wholesale goods to select stores, nationwide. Contact me if you are a business owner looking for wholesale products.
- You can also shop my work worldwide through license deals with other companies! Recently, my work was seen on children’s apparel sewn and sold in the U.K.
Do you do custom artwork?
Yes, I create custom artwork for individuals and companies. I love to capture someone else’s art vision and make it come to life! However, as I’m both a busy mama AND a surface pattern designer, I only take on custom work when I have availability in my calendar. Contact me to start the conversation and I’ll let you know what I can do for you.
What is surface pattern design?
Surface pattern design is art that is made to go on a variety of surfaces (think stationery, wallpaper, children’s apparel, home decor, and fabric). Companies select the artwork they love (or request custom work) and through open communication and collaboration, we deliver high resolution files to print on their goods.
Are your design files pixel or vector based?
My files are all vector based artwork. I have both spot illustrations and seamless repeating files in my portfolio. I prefer to work in vector because scaling is not an issue with quality.
Is your work available for licensing?
Yes, I love to partner with both large and small brands to license my artwork. Depending upon your needs, you can “rent” my artwork for a short period of time, or purchase rights to the artwork completely. I accept both exclusive and non-exclusive license deals. I love to work with companies to match the right artwork to the right product. Contact me with any additional questions about licensing.
Where do you live?
I live in the Great Smoky Mountains, in the USA. I began my pattern career in North Carolina.
What is your art process?
I love to create fun art. In fact, not a day goes by without me creating something. I draw inspiration from my memories, my faith in Yeshua (also known as Jesus), and the wonderful world around me. I’m constantly bursting at the seams with ideas of what to draw. I get so many ideas; I sometimes have a hard time narrowing them down!
Most of my vector patterns are created starting with a pencil sketch, then I move to Procreate and refine the drawing. I then import the images into Adobe Illustrator and vectorize. Lastly, I work on layers, colors and scales. Often, I jump between Procreate and Illustrator to get the outcome that I desire.
I also enjoy collaborating with artists in my family to created painted artworks. These illustrations start as sketches, before being painted, scanned, and brought into Photoshop for refinement. Lastly, those images are vectorized in Adobe Illustrator and prepared for the customer.
Do you still paint storefront windows ?
Unfortunately, as my digital design career has taken off, I no longer have the space in my schedule for seasonal window paintings. Painting small businesses and boutiques is something I do enjoy, but it is not where my main focus is right now.
Are you also a flower farmer ?
Growing and harvesting blooms keeps me inspired to create artwork. While I do continue to grow and harvest thousands of blooms, I no longer run the flower business. My daughter, Ella, has taken over our flower farm. You can find her on Instagram @morningmerciesfarm_.
